After months of preparation and participation in trainings organized by the Association of Polish Cities and the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, towns are much closer to making decisions on the shape of their projects that they will submit for the Polish Swiss Programme for Development of Towns.
On October 8, 2024, during the second day of the Urban and Regional Policy Congress in Krakow, Deputy Minister Konrad Wojnarowski met with mayors of the towns that are eligible to participate in the Programme. The meeting was also attended by Fabrice Filliez, the Swiss Ambassador, and Jakub Banaszek, Vice-President of the Association of Polish Cities.

Those at the event talked about the need to wrap up the projects and the help available for submitting applications to the Programme. They went over the main rules for carrying out projects and what you need to have to get funding.
Minister Wojnarowski told everyone that the deadline for submitting initial project proposals has been extended to 16 January 2025. This is to give towns that are busy cleaning up after the floods more time to put together good project proposals and applications.
